Lauren Michelle Brew

“I live by the truth that I am constantly growing.”

L Brew, Lo, or just Brew, is an event producer, writer, community organizer and skateboarder living in Chicago.

At just 25 years old, Brew has collaborated on a Dunk with Nike SB, donated personal items to The Smithsonian, written for Harper’s Bazaar, spoken at San Diego State University, designed and moderated panels at the SCA Expo, and been featured by Facebook for Black History Month.

Brew has planned and executed dozens of events, creating impactful opportunities for community leaders and members through meetups, workshops, panels, parties, trips, food drives and processions.

Brew is also a skilled writer, telling impactful stories through both personal and attributed articles, developing brand narratives, mission and vision statements, website copy, press releases and more.

Brew was raised in the counties of St. Louis and St. Charles, Missouri, by Virginia and Derrick Brew Senior, alongside three older siblings (Candice, Derrick Junior (Rest in Power), and Trenton), and moved to Chicago upon graduation to study Communications at Loyola University.
